Building and repairing homes for the most vulnerable families — widows, orphans, and the elderly — who live in unsafe structures.
A safe home is a basic human right. Yet across Gilgit-Baltistan, many of the most vulnerable families — widows who lost their husbands to illness or accidents, orphan-headed households, and elderly people with no support — live in crumbling, unsafe structures that cannot withstand harsh winters or natural disasters. AGHE Pakistan's House Construction program identifies these families through community referrals and field assessments. We build or substantially repair their homes using locally sourced, durable materials appropriate for the GB climate. Each house project is a major Sadaqah-e-Jariyah opportunity. Donors can sponsor a full house or contribute toward one. Complete documentation — from assessment to handover — is provided to all project donors. When you build a home for a vulnerable family, you give them shelter, dignity, and safety for decades to come.
