About This Program

Winters in Gilgit-Baltistan are brutal. At altitudes above 2,500 metres, temperatures drop well below freezing for months, and many families — especially those without a male breadwinner — cannot afford adequate warm bedding or clothing. AGHE Pakistan's Blanket Distribution program mobilises before each winter season, reaching the most remote and under-served villages to deliver high-quality blankets and warm clothing to eligible families. Each beneficiary is pre-screened and registered, and distributions are carried out in a transparent, organised manner. This program is primarily funded through Sadaqah and general donations. A single donation of PKR 1,500 provides one family with a warm blanket to survive the GB winter.
